Final Examination Information

Some of our courses require you to write traditional "sit-down" final examination(s). Here you can view the current Final Examination schedule.

Those studying at a distance are welcome to request to write at an alternative examination location. To make these arrangements, please complete the online Final Examination Information Form before the deadline date posted. Make these arrangements as early as possible in the semester as changes cannot be guaranteed after the deadline date. Approximately one month before the final examination period begins, the DE Examination Coordinator will send you a confirmation of the alternate location, via email. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact DE Examination Coordinator at 519 824-4120 Ext. 56776 or at olexams@OpenEd.uoguelph.ca as soon as possible.

Please note: Off campus examinations are not necessarily scheduled on the same date and time as the on-campus examinations. You may be required to write your off-campus examination earlier or later than the on-campus examination date. Students must be available to write at any date and time during the scheduled examination period.

Every effort will be made to locate an exam site in your preferred city, however, due to exam site availability, this may not always be possible. Students may be required to travel outside of their preferred city.

If you are a student living within 100 kilometers of Guelph, please be advised that you may still request to write off-campus, however, you may be asked to travel to campus for your final examination(s).

International Students: Students requesting to write examinations at an international location are not responsible for securing their own proctor. An examination date, time and location will be arranged for you upon request, however, students are still responsible for paying any proctor related costs. International examination schedules will be emailed to students by no later than Week 9 of the class. If you have not received your schedule by this time, please contact our office immediately.
